Death came to Mrs Nelle Roberts Hawkins, 68 wife of David E. HAWKINS, residing 1 ½ miles south of Kansas, Illinois on Sunday evening following a lingering illness. Surviving are the husband, 8 children: Mrs. Grace Wright of Ashmore, Ill; Mrs. Gladys CHEATHAM of Waveland; Mrs. Mable YOUNG of Smyrna, Tenn; Sherman and Willis and George of Kansas and Paul in military service and Wilbur of Evansville, Ind and a son, John died 12 years ago; also 2 sisters. The funeral was at 2 Wednesday afternoon at the Kansas Methodist Church with Rev. SE Kern of E. Peoria, Ill officiating. - kbz
